Alexandra Calvet-Brown is the Owner and Buyer of Calvet Couture Bridal Boutique, but started her career in the wedding industry as an event planner. She studied at the University of Central Florida where she majored in Hospitality Management. Although her career as an event planner was successful and rewarding, her love of fashion was stronger and drove her to combine her passions. Opening Calvet Couture Bridal boutique allowed her to continue to be a part of the wedding industry she loved, create memorable experiences with brides, and become a trendsetter in the world of bridal fashion. Her goal has been to provide hands on service to every bride and to incorporate her love of fashion into making a lasting memory of the dress buying experience. By personally styling and being involved with every bride’s journey, Alexandra has accomplished this and more.
As an Orlando native, she prides herself on lasting relationships built with other members of the community, as well as her brides. As a member of The Country Club of Orlando and a graduate of Bishop Moore High School, she
has a special affinity for the College Park area where she first launched her retail business, Calvet Couture Bridal in 2013. After proudly serving over 1,000 brides in that location, it was apparent the business was quickly expanding and outgrowing the space. In early 2016, Alexandra moved her
business into the Winter Park Village more than doubling the amount of square footage. This expansion has allowed for growth in designers for our brides to enjoy.
When the opportunity came up to expand to Sarasota Alexandra jumped at the chance and opened a second location, taking over what was formerly Blush Bridal in Sarasota. The University of Central Florida grad commutes to the Gulf Coast store weekly and attends all special events there. Growing up she spent summers with her family enjoying the Sarasota beaches, so bringing some Calvet style to the area has been both a walk down memory lane and an opportunity to style brides from a different market from the flagship store.
After realizing that 35 percent of her Winter Park customers were coming from Jacksonville, Alexandra opened the third Calvet Couture boutique in the heart of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. The North Florida location has allowed Calvet to bring new designers that have never been available in the city to give brides unique options to choose from.
In 2018 Alexandra & her team developed their first ever exclusive collection "Penelope & Lex", which can be found in all Calvet locations and out of state too! For more information click on Penelope & Lex. Alexandra & the CCB Girls look forward to meeting you and adding style to your big day!
